I Love Sushi!

When I lived in Scottsdale, it was never a question of what to have for dinner, but what sushi restaurant suited our tastes for the evening.
Blue Wasabi, RA, Stingray, Sushi on Shea......the list could go on and on. There happened to be a sushi restaurant directly across from my apartment, I just can't for the life of me remember what it was called. I do remember the pomegranate martinis and happy hour specials.
Indianapolis had not quite caught up to the raw fish craze, and we had trouble finding a place to call our home base. There was a spot downtown that I went to with a group of friends, and I raved to Paul about how good the rolls were. When we went back, I determined that it was the cocktails that had made the sushi so good.
We tried a place called H2O that had "new age" rolls, and strangely enough served maple pecan cookies with espresso whipped cream. Raw fish and cookies. Yum.
Nicole and I visit a sushi restaurant by the name of Coast every time I'm in Chicago. They have a BYOB policy that goes well with the chicken soup. I'm already looking forward to my visit in May.
Living in California, Paul and I stumbled upon a little sushi restaurant, Geta, that is very friendly on the wallet and also very authentic. The problem is that it's so small there's almost always a wait.
Friday we tried out a new spot in Temescal, just moments from our house. And we totally pigged out! Tempura, Edamame, Sashimi, Sushi- it was all there!
It feels good to be home!
