The Case of the Missing Coat

I was reading my Real Simple Magazine at the gym the other day when I spotted an ad for a cute, orange/herringbone wrap jacket. My eyes lit up when it was revealed that the jacket was part of the "Tucker for Target" collection.
I went straight online to Target.com. Tucker goods. Check. Jacket? Negative. No sign of it. 
After a short Google investigation I came to a few realizations. Gilt.com (a sample sale website with designer duds) had run a "presale" Tucker for Target viewing. Amazon no longer carries the jacket and has no idea if it ever will. again. Ebay is hawking my jacket at a markup. And they have bidders.
I thought that Target was supposed to bring discounted clothes to the masses. I am that mass.
Who is Tucker? And I want that coat (even more now that I can't have it).
