Wednesday October 20th

Wednesday was a travel day as we headed from the North Shore of Kauai to the South Shore. On the way we stopped and hiked down to Wilua Falls. There were many admiring the view from the top, but few dared to make the climb down. Luckily there were ropes strung along the path because it was quite steep. Clearly from the photos below, it was well worth it.

We spent the afternoon at Mahaulepu Beach, the best-looking unspoiled beach in Kauai, and possibly the state.
Then to our little cottage in Koloa, a tiny plantation town where the sugar industry was born over 150 years ago.
