Chronicle Wine Sale

A few of us visited the Chronicle Wine Sale on Friday afternoon. Being that we are in Northern California the SF Chron receives tons of bottles for our wine editor, Jon Bonne, to review. An urban legend suggests that we get up to 50 bottles a day.
So annually the Chronicle hosts a fundraiser, selling off these bottles for cheap cheap cheap! There's a $5 room, $10 room, and $15 room. We of course hit the $5 room in hopes of some major scores. I trailed behind Sue, our resident wine expert in the North Bay, and the kind soul that she is, would pass a few choice Pinot Noir bottles back to me. I mean, it was total mayhem. Tables topped with wine, baskets of wine, and in no particular order of course.
In the end I wound up with a nice case of Merlot, Champy, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, and a few choice others.
This would be the back of Sue's van. 4 cases of wine in all.
 The haul!
