Thursday: The Idaho Panhandle

Despite the 4am start to the day, our travels went off without a hitch and we couldn't wait to land in Spokane, WA and get to DragonFly Vans in Coeur D' Alene, ID to pick up our van, "Long Shot." We thought that perhaps just for this trip we'd change her name to "Sure Thing."

First things first. A Starbucks stop!
And north up the panhandle we went. Through SandPoint and as far North as Bonners Ferry- just short of the Canadian Border.

We set up camp along the shores of the rushing Moyie River, popped the top to the van, and dined on steak and grilled vegetables.
I should probably share a bit more about our Westfalia Weekender Van
By day, the body of the van contained a couch, a jumpseat (behind the drivers side seat), and a cooler (behind passenger seat), along with a pop up table. For travel we typically loaded the folding chairs, grill, and food into the extra space. Behind the couch there was trunk space which we used for our bags and travel accessories. When it was time to camp we popped the top and loaded our luggage up top and pulled the bed out. Not a bad way to camp!
