The Investigator

Between work (getting ready to present at the Sales Meeting next week in Vegas) and new horse- there hasn't been much time for anything else.
Linus hissed and growled at the two cat sitters this morning that came by for orientation. I had to slip them a $20 just to get them to come back when we're actually out of town.
Wilbur is getting his teeth done tomorrow. I'm not sure what all that entails outside of a blank check from me and sedation by the vet. It's an overdue visit and I'm very happy that he's getting taken care of.
We had a lovely ride tonight. No lesson just a hack. Kate set a little crossrail for the 6:30 group and invited us to go over it. So we jumped our first jump. And by jump I mean walk over it. Despite having to take a step back for a bit while Kate gets Wilbur into "hunter" shape I really don't mind one bit. By the time I get out to the barn it's cold, and sometimes raining, and dark. Cold weather does not make horses want to eat soup and watch movies. It turns them into demons. I keep waiting for Wilbur to leap out of his skin at any moment but instead he just trots around quietly. Got to love the Quarter Horse brain. Who is that handsome man?
