A Good Gab

I had such a nice chat with my friend on the phone tonight. We usually talk almost every day, sharing the little nuances of daily life, but she has been in Costa Rica for the past week so we had a lot to catch up on. Somehow the description of an argument over a "rumper" moved the conversation about life, love, children, and what we hope for our futures. Does this sound corny? It was the opposite. It's easy to fall into the routine of "how was your day at work?" and "guess what I got at Target?" It was nice to express feelings and thoughts to someone who was not directly affected by my choices (like Paul), to have someone listen, and give advice. Good chat my friend!
