Tuesday October 12th

Kidnapped. That's the only reason that I would have been on top of the 10,032 foot high  Haleakala Crater to watch the sunrise at 5:30am. It was a cool 40 degrees with 30mph winds. Oh, and we left at 3:30am to make the two hour, 37 mile drive up to the summit. Fast Fact- World's largest dormant volcano.
Moments after the sunrise we retreated to the car, blasted the heat, and took a nap before our short hike.

I needed sustenance outside of a breakfast bar so we stopped at the Surfing Goat Dairy on our way back to West Maui. It's the only goat dairy on the island and they had delicious cheese. We took a short tour and fed the goats hay!

Some sun at our local beach and Pina Coladas at the Palms Hotel next door ended our day with some much needed relaxation.
